More Meeples, less plastic!

Dear Backers and Followers!

We have great news: We had a lot of nice feedback from you and we are very thankful for that.
We hear you! And according to your feedback and after good talks with our manufacturer we decided to include the customized wooden Leaders, Armies and Fleets in the game series. The wooden Leaders, Armies and Fleets were marked as stretchgoal number 5, which we fell short of by a few thousand Euros.

So we will upgrade the whole series and replace the standard cardboard markers with the customized wooden markers. Therefore, there won’t be a mix of materials for the playing pieces and HOTAS will be a more streamlined product for all. All playing pieces will be in wood. No more plastic :)

For those of you who still would like to check the cardboard markers we will provide a free "Print & Play" version of them. The PDF to print the cardboard pieces, detailed instructions on how to print and mount them properly.

Dear Backers!

Thanks again for your support and be part of bringing "History of the Ancient Seas" to life!

We took a short deep breath after the campaign but as many of you know, the work is not done yet! We are setting up right now with Backerkit all the necessary data to take the next step! As we have a couple of Add-Ons, three games and offer free shiping for a combination of backing a game & add-ons, this is not an easy task for Backerkit :-). But it will get done! Many files are ready for print and have been sent to the manufacturer. 

Stay tuned for a very nice upcoming update concerning game material. We had good talks with our manufacturers and have great news for you (thank you Marc MOISSA for your inspiration!!).

Dear Backers!

Now we have to take a deep breath and we send to all of you a BIG THANK YOU!

Somewhere we mentioned, we are not new to publishing games, but new to crowdfunding. This was a very exciting journey with a lot of lessons we learned!

Thanks to you, the first products of Sound of Drums will come to life. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Some of you, like Michael and Panis, could play a prototype and their feedback was very encouraging and assuring us that we are doing the right thing.

"History of the Ancient Seas" is just the beginning. There will be a fourth installment (ROMA VICTORIA SEMPER) and our current project we test is a game in Europe in the Age of Renaissance, called NEITHER KING NOR GOD. So, stay tuned and connected!

You will receive all necessary information by KS and in the next days we will open the pledge manager at Backerkit.

I don’t want to forget to thankfully mention the incredible effort and work of our graphic artist Marc von Martial. His work is simply stunning. Without him there would be no SOD.
