Shipping of HOTAS

Dear Backers and supporters

I hope you have a great weekend. 

Here is a short update about the shipping status of your rewards: 

All games with destination in EU Europe are now sent and you should hold your games (attention: boxes are heavy :-)) in your hands shortly. 

UK and US backers: Palettes are now sent to the fulfillment partners (ZATU for UK and Bridge for the US / Canada). 

We have some backers in Australia and Japan: Your rewards are sent by DHL next monday. 

I did the control of quantities and status of the shipped games in our warehouse myself. We had zero transport damage and only one assembly error in a LTD box which we could simply correct. I am very happy with the overall quality of the games and the way the manufacturer took care about packing the games. Not so much though with the huge delay to ship the games to our warehouse. I am really sorry for this.

Update on shipping HOTAS

Dear Backers

I know, many of you have been waiting for an update. I prefer to write un update when I don't talk "blablabla" but concrete information.

So, what's up? 

We could fufill most of the European shipments. The issue we faced was, that the Collectors Wooden Crafts delivered were a catastrophy. Not at all what we expected and what we agreed upon with the supplier. He needed an eternity to ship them and then, they are really, really not acceptable (see pictures at the end of this update) . We worked out a solution: We found a German company that is specialized manufacturing wooden crafts. See the first three pictures, this is the quality we want to stand for. Of course, we will bear the costs of these boxes. The boxes originally shipped by the manufaturer will end in my fire place. 

As we need to consolidate shippments to the US and the UK, we need to wait until these boxes arrive in the quantity we need. This will be 27th of October. We will then immediately send the games to our fulfillment partners in the US and the UK. 

I know, many of you are eager to hold the game in their hands: If anyone among you can't wait, drop me a line at [email protected]. I am a gamer as you and totally understand you and I am willing to ship individually by DHL from our warehouse in order to save time and not let you wait any longer. 

I am really sorry for all this, it went not the way I wanted, not the way we planned. But mind you, there will consequences for us in regard of future suppliers.

Rules of Pirates & Barbarians and shipping update!

Dear Backers

I hope you all have a wonderful summer.

Shipping of HOTAS gets closer and closer. I don't want to bore you with long stories about how complicated manufacturing and assembly was, to put it short: I think we slightly overwhelmed the manufacturer with the task. What you can expect with the KS Special Version is a 7.2 KG game with 763 customized wooden meeples, 4 huge maps boards, 30 play aid sheets, cards etc. A huge package that had to be shrinked wrapped manually because the box was too big for the machine. 

On Monday I will be able to be more precise about when you can expect your game to be shipped to you. 

Believe us, we are as excited as you to finally have the games in our hands. This was a huge and very challenging project.

We promised to show you the rules of the Expansion "Pirates & Barbarians". A non-player faction that can be pretty annoying during the game :-)

New Markets rules

Dear Backers,

one of you brought up the great idea to post the rules of the expansions while waiting for the shipment to arrive. Which of the three expansions do I like the most? Hard to tell. I love all of them. They are completely different and create each a new game feeling. Let me know which one you like most!

HOTAS Shipping update

Dear Backers

We are not yet happy with the procedure of information about shipping. We will work hard to get a better routine here and a way better flow of information from our manufacurer. I am sorry for this. Communication is not always easy.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know, that the games left the manufacturer 15th of June, the container was send to Ningbo and was loaded on a container vessel. I try to follow the path of the container ship (Fullerton/0FMD7W1) and will keep you updated. 

We are as excited as you to receive the games here at our warehouse. Shipping labels are prepared.
