Next stretch goal in sight!
over 1 year ago – Tue, Oct 04, 2022 at 11:15:23 AM

A welcome and a big "thanks" to our latest backers! We are now so close to unlock the next stretch goal: The additional scenarios!

What do they contain? Basically, we will provide in these scenarios a set up that skip the initital phase of the game where every faction starts with only a few trade posts and units. The scenarios will provide the factions with very tricky situations like the control over Byzantium (which is a key for victory for the Greek and the Persian) or Siciliy (key for the Roman and Carthage) and a few others. The scenarios will also shorten play time by roughly 1 hour.

We are short 1 backer to unlock the additional scenarios, the backer who will be the one who helps us jump to that level will receive a special credit in the rules manual :-) Be the one!!

Sincerely yours

Uwe Walentin

Backerkit will take care of our Pledge Management
over 1 year ago – Mon, Oct 03, 2022 at 09:49:16 PM

Hello followers and backers!

Thank you so much for being part of this exciting journey! We just wanted to let you know that Backerkit will be our partner for the Pledge Managament after the campaign! We will let you know the link if you  want to upgrade your order and manage the shipping costs. Talking about shipping costs: Please refer to the shipping table, there are some "free  shipping" options!

We are curious to see what will happen in the final 48 hours of the campaign! As you all know, we will raise more funds through Backerkit and we will be able to offer items like the play aids in different languages. I know there are gamers out there who want to have "their" game in "their" language which is totally fine and doable.

Sincerely yours

Uwe Walentin

Meeples sneak peak, the Armies, Fleets and Leaders.
over 1 year ago – Sat, Oct 01, 2022 at 12:00:55 PM

Hi fellow gamers,

Marc von Martial here. The graphic guy behind this series. Just a quick update on what Stretchgoal #4 would have for you :). I did a quick mockup render for these, the shape files are currently beeing prepared and checked by our manufacturer.

Fleet, Army and Leader meeples.

From left to right you see the Fleet, Army version 1, Army version 2 and the Leader marker. The numbers will be inset and filled with color to stand out better. Most probaly white as you see in this mockup. Black for the Persians then, which have whitish meeples.

These meeples could / will accompany the cardboard markers. So if unlocked you can choose which you prefer and want to use in the game. I'm more of a "less material mix" guy, so I already know what I would pick.

We have not fully decided on Army version 1 (blue in this mockup) and Army version 2 (purple). Do you have a preference?

Take care, my next update will be from a location you find on all the three "History of the Ancient Seas" maps ;)

Cheers, Marc von Martial
